the manifesto

we are for the line,
not against it.

Five things we believe, stated plainly. If they sound obvious, good. We just think someone should actually build for them.

  1. Fun is not suspect by default.

Joy doesn't have to justify itself. The burden of proof is on harm, not on happiness.

  2. Masti adds joy. Ayyashi takes it.

Two things that look similar from the outside are opposites underneath. We refuse to confuse them.

  3. If the joke needs a victim who isn't laughing, it isn't a joke.

Banter and bullying differ by one thing: consent. We hold that line on purpose.

  4. Every dadi, every hostel, every Sunday afternoon deserves its masti.

This isn't only for the young or the loud. Joyful mischief belongs to everyone, at every age.

  5. We celebrate loudly, and we name harm honestly.

Loving masti and refusing ayyashi are the same commitment, not a contradiction.

in practice

the same commitment, two halves

we celebrate loudly

  • summer ki masti
  • hostel ki masti
  • dadi-nani ki masti
  • office ki masti
  • 1am karaoke
  • harmless pranks on willing friends

we name harm honestly

  • drugs
  • bullying
  • harassment
  • vandalism
  • drunk driving
  • humiliating strangers for content

That's it. One rule, easy to remember: does someone get hurt? If yes, it's ayyashi. If no, it's masti, and you're welcome here.
